Delta boy kills father for confronting him over food harvest
Police has arrested a young man identified as Kido in Issele-Uku, in the Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, for allegedly killing his father.
According to reports gathered from PUNCH Metro, Kido allegedly stabbed his father to death on their farmland in Issele-Uku area when his father confronted him for harvesting crops without permission.
“Kido stabbed his father to death and the community vigilantes have arrested him and handed him over to the police.
“But in his confession, the suspect said he did not stab his father but only used firewood on him in self-defence while he (father) threatened him (son) with a cutlass,” A source said.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said the suspect was in custody while investigation was ongoing.
He said, “The son was arrested immediately and he is in detention. They were quarrelling on the farm and unfortunately he killed his father.”
