The Citizens Charity Raffle on Monday, presented the sum of 500,000 naira each to two lucky winners, Favoured Jonathan and Shawon Ezekiel Iorkumba.
Presenting the cheque to one of the beneficiaries, Shawon Ezekiel Iorkumba who was present at the ceremony, group head of the organisation, Mr Nick Agule, said Ezekiel’s achievement was in line with the organisation’s vision of uplifting Nigerians from poverty and making them millionaires.
While urging more persons to subscribe to the initiative, Mr Agule assured that the process of determining winners was transparent and could be trusted as two other beneficiaries had previously benefitted from the scheme.
He further disclosed that tickets are currently on sale at the rate of N200 ahead of the pre-christmas draws on the 23rd of December where 2.5 million naira would be up for grabs. Tickets are available on the Citizens Charity Raffle official website.
Receiving the cash prize, Ezekiel appreciated the founders of the organisation for the initiative adding that the money came at the right time when he needed funds to develop a business plan which he had underway. He also promised to reinvest in the scheme as a means of contributing to the creation of more lucky winners.
On her part, the company’s manager, Shidoo Tarkaa clarified that the scheme is not a gambling platform but rather, a means of uplifting more Nigerians from poverty and making them millionaires. She emphasized that purchasing a ticket would be as good as donating N200 to the less privileged and that donors can buy as many tickets as they wish.
