Ghanian-based Nigerian singer, Mullacray set to release new single

An exceptionally talented Ghanian-based Nigerian singer, Akule Gabriel Gbasha also known as Mullacray has announced a release date for his next single.

Mullacray in series of posts on various social media platforms had revealed that he will on Saturday, 9th of September, 2023 (09/09/23), be making a significant come-back into the music scene with an impressive single titled “On My Way.”

In a chat with Radiojagaban, the singer revealed that the soon-to-be released song has a lot of significance as it reflects the gradual but significant progression of his musical career while projecting the plight of a young dreamer head-bent on making an impact in his society and causing a change in his life and that of his family for the better.

Mullacray hopes that his next single, “On My Way” upon it’s release on the 9th, will become his most successful project thus far; since his debut in the music industry in 2019 with a hip hop song which was released on his birthday, 9th May and titled “Grind.”

The 28-year-old Nigerian born singer who recalled his experiences while growing up said:

“I always loved and listened to music since I was in basic school but I only started making music when I moved to Ghana to further my studies, that was where and when I found the liberty to explore my creative abilities as a musical artiste. I just knew that I could do it and I have always felt that way and I still do.

“Looking back at where I come from, how I started and how far I’ve come, I would boldly say that music means a lot me; not everything, but so much and it has given me a purpose which I feel that needs to be fulfilled. It is indeed a weight on my shoulders, but this weight only keeps me on my toes and reminds me that I need to be stay firm and strong in this journey of life.”

The Ghanian-based singer who started off as a rapper, has a number of great songs to his credit and all his previous works are easily accessible on Audiomack.

Mullacray combines the Afrobeats sensation with a touch of Ghanian traditional high life genre to make a soothing blend of unique sounds that further confirms the weight of his musical dexterity.

He also uses his music and every other opportunity he gets to project the cultural values of his roots back in Nigeria.

With no A-list collaborations yet, the singer said:
“Biggest Collaborations? Not with any A-list acts yet but I definitely have a couple collaborations with some artists in Ghana, most of which are yet to be released. I believe that there is a lot more coming.

He acknowledged that while growing up, he had always has a vision though it was blurry to him at the initial stage.

He however stated that with passage of time, he soon figured a way to get things cleared out.

Mullacray is a native of Tiv in Vandeikya local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria.

His father, (Tiv) is married to a Ghanaian from the Western Region. This explains why the singer can easily relate with people of the both divides and still be loved by all.

His Social abilities and musical prowess appears unmatched.

Meanwhile, the singer while speaking about his family background said, “I always thought of how to make something out of this, because I always feel that I am a special breed. So I seek to use my music as a means to cause some kind of cultural integration between my fatherland and my motherland, and to project my tribe to other parts of the globe. Also to serve as an amplifier for the cries and voices that need to be heard and payed attention to… This vision only gets bigger lol”
