Benue Tiv rapper, Hunde Ngutor Egypt popularly known as Egyptian Cairo on Friday, lost his mother to death.
The singer announced the demise of his mother via a Facebook post on after she died in a hospital where she was receiving treatment.
Condolences have since begun to flood the singers’ social media handles as fellow Benue entertainer, McSmart-mop wrote, “kindly accept my heartfelt condolence.”
Egyptian is known for his distinct style of rap music in Tiv language which he often uses to address various societal ills. He made a bigger impact early this year with the release of his latest single, “Uzagir.”
On June 9 2022, Egyptian Cairo had called for financial assistance from the public to enable him pay for his mother’s surgery worth 8million naira owing to a tumor.
