Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Temilade Openiyi otherwise known as Tems has won her first Grammy award.
The singer outshone other nominees in the “Melodic Rap Performance category” at the 65th Annual Grammy awards ceremony, winning her first ever Grammy award and becoming one of the very few Nigerian artists to bring home the Grammys.
Tems lifted her feat whilst owing credits to her collaboration with American rapper Future in the song titled ‘Wait For You’ featuring Drake.
The song won Best Melodic Rap Performance, beating ‘Die Hard’ by Kendrick Lamar amongst others.
