The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP as the duly elected governor of the state.

Delivering judgement in favour of the All Progressives Congress’ candidate Adegboyega Oyetola, the tribunal chaired by Justice Tetsea Kume on Friday, annulled the result of the July 16 Osun governorship poll in a split document of two to one stating that the Independent National Electoral Commission did not comply substantially with the constitution and the provisions of the Electoral Act.

Justice Kume further declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, should withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Adeleke and issue the same to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
