Following the release of his second hit single for the year which preceded his ‘Afro-hip-hop’ “Young Preacher” Album, multitalented Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez has been called out by a fan for not practicing what he preached in his recent single.
In the song titled ‘Fake Nikes‘ which was released off the “Young Preacher Album,” Blaqbonez expressed concern for the young folks who get pressured by the thoughts of what others think about them.
In the Afro-hip-hop fusion, the rapper spoke about a certain elite shoe brand ‘Nike’ which many young people have over time, associated with success.
Should you wear a pair of Nike shoes, you are most likely to be considered one of the successful young ‘jiggas’ out there.
Blaqbonez however, opined that it was pointless trying to prove a point as some cheap fake Nike shoes which look like the original are also available in the market for young folks who cannot afford the original.
He noted in his lyrics that he would still be spited if he went broke trying to purchase the highly expensive original Nike footwears just to impress.
But taking to twitter Sunday evening, the rapper cum video director shared his ordeal with a fan who approached him at the airport only to tell him that his shoes do not look fake.
