Popular social messaging platform, WhatsApp, is temporarily down.

The platform has over the years, become the most used social media messaging and photo and video sharing platform by millions of Nigerians and across the globe.

Whatsapp reportedly stopped working on Tuesday morning with several users experiencing a glitch or difficulty sending or receiving messages.

Several Nigerians have taken to another platform, Facebook, to express their frustrations with the development.

According to Engadget, Meta through its spokesperson said the tech company is aware of the glitch and is working towards bringing a lasting solution.

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible.”

This is not the first time the platform will be experiencing a glitch. On 4th October 2021, it was unavailable for a while until it was restored. Before then, there had been other reports of glitches without any notice.
