Man kills uncle’s wife in Benue
The Benue state police Command has arraigned a 45year old man, Jeremiah Ode for allegedly killing his uncle’s wife and eating her head like peppersoup.
Radiojagaban gathered that the suspect hails from Igwe Ochekpo in Oju Local Government Area.
Jeremiah who was caught eating the head of a woman he allegedly killed on her farm, is being prosecuted at a Makurdi Magistrate Court, for the gruesome murder of Priscilla Adoga, 65.
Speaking on the matter, Prosecuting Police Officer, Inspector Omaye Ujata told the court that the incident which occurred on Friday, August 19, was reported to the police by Silas Igiri of Oju Local Government Area.
According to Igiri’s report, the accused went to the farm where his uncle’s wife, Priscilla, was working and killed her using a machete.

Sources also noted that alarms were raised after the victim failed to return from her farm at the usual time, which led to her family going in search of her.
Jeremiah was however, found savouring the deceaseds’ head at the farm with her body laid on the other side.
Speaking in court, the accused pleaded guilty of the charge while explaining that he had a fight with the victim (both using matchete) and overpowered her.
The police had also arrested him despite initial speculations that he was mentally ill.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Regina Alagh, therefore, ordered that the accused be remanded at the Federal Correctional Centre, Makurdi while the case has been adjourned to November 11, for legal advice from the State Ministry of Justice.
