Who is Prolific KT?
Prolific KT is a Nigerian singer, rapper, songwriter and performing artist who started singing at a very young age.
He was born Kator Caleb Aende and hails from Mbagwa, Family of Nombur, in Ushongo local government area of Benue State.
His genres are R&B, Hip-hop/Rap, Afro swings, and trap.
20years old Prolific KT had his primary education at Holy child private school, Abuja between 2006-2011 and had a secondary education at Wantor model college adikpo in Benue state between 2011-2017.
He is currently a student of the Benue State University, studying Geography.
Kator who was raised by a a single mother alongside his younger sister, is driven by a passion for music plus, his mother’s agelong desire which he believes is complimented by his God given talent.
Once, in an interview, the singer stated:
Since my mom was pregnant for me, she had always wanted and prayed for a musical genius just like craig David and growing up, I Couldn’t help but love music. I remember one afternoon alone in my parlour at abuja.. I was listening to Michael Jackson ft Akon “hold my hands” and that was when it hit me, at a young age that i had to do this, but i didn’t take it serious until when I was in jss3 at wantor where i actually had no choice but to write it (music) because i felt i could and the desire to run it up to the top…
And when i finished secondary school, all i could do was music, nothing else.. And just like that am trying to climb that ladder.”
Discography
Prolific KT started chasing a musical career from his secondary school days and have continuously improved on his output over the years.
The independent artiste has nearly 15 tracks including features and one EP to his credit while several other unreleased and/or unrecorded tracks remain in his diaries. His songwriting qualites are equally exceptional.
In 2020, the rapper was nominated for the New Hip-Hop Artist of the Year for Star Awards 2020.
Prolific KT draws his inspiration from various notable artistes such as Akon, Michael Jackson, Nipsey hussle, XXXTENTACION, Asa, Burna boy and Davido.
Due to his doggedness and unwavering approach towards securing a place on the map, Prolific KT has gained some relative recognition by foreign artists like Yonas, Abstract, and Russ.
His debut Extended Play (EP) titled “StaRring” unveils yet another best part of his musical prowess as he noted in a recent interview, “am still kicking and getting better.”
StaRring, he says was inspired by his late sister, Aende Torkwase Stephanie who embarked on a no-return trip in 2020, leaving him as the only surviving child of his mom, Ajio Keziah Zungu.
