An Adamawa State female journalist,  Nafeesa Vandi, is still in pains after her husband, Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu, beat her beyond recognition.

According to reports, Nafeesa who was married to Ibrahim had children with Ibrahim, but the two had long separated unofficially.

Despite being separated however, Ibrahim still kept an eye on Nafeesa.

On Wednesday, 17th August, 2022, he saw her alighting from the car of a man who gave her a lift.

It was the incident that made Ibrahim to pounce on her, beating her to stupor like a little child.

Nafeesa Vandi is the staff of the News Department,  Adamawa State Broadcasting Corporation, Yola, while her estranged husband,  Ibrahim, is a sacked PHCN staff.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Adamawa State has condemned the battery in strong terms while describing it as being heinous, unacceptable, wicked and barbaric.

The union also called for a speedy action towards the immediate arrest and prosecution of Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu.
