The Awutu Ofankor District Police Command in Ghana, has arrested a 57-year-old farmer identified as Gideon Tetteh for beating his wife, Sabina Bonney, to death.
The unfortunate incident happened in Awutu Mankomeda in the Awutu Senya West District, Central Region, Ghana.
According to reports, the deceased, who was an apples trader in the Kasoa Newmarket, met her death when she refused unprotected s*x.
Radiojagaban gathered that, the deceased had told her husband that there was no need for unprotected s*x after having five children.
Sabina reportedly told Gideon that it would be difficult for them to cater for more than five children, as it has not been easy taking care of the five they already have.
However, her husband objected the idea and demanded for an unprotected intercourse leading to a disagreement.
During the disagreement, her husband demanded a document for a piece of land which was in his wife’s possession.
The woman, however, refused, saying she paid for the land.
Angered by his wife’s behavior, Gideon Tetteh, reportedly naked the woman, tied her hands and beat her until she died.
After noticing that his wife was no more alive, the accused went into hiding.
However, he was later arrested by the Awutu Ofankor District Police Command who are preparing to arraign him before the Ofaakor Circuit Court.
Meanwhile, the deceased has been taken to the Police Hospital morgue in Accra, Ghana.
